REDress Day Maamigin: National Day of Awareness

On May 5, 2024, we will come together from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to honor and bringing awareness to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S+) at Victoria Park in London, Ontario. REDress Day is a time for remembrance, advocacy and bringing awareness to the systemic issues leading to violence towards Indigenous People across Turtle Island and beyond.

Activities at the event will be centered around bringing the community together by providing a space for education, advocacy, and remembrance. 

This event is a BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair or Blanket)

Event Agenda:
12:30pm-12:40: Opening Prayer
12:40pm-1:10pm: Open-Mic for organizations and community members to speak and share stories
1:15pm-1:45pm: Drum Group (to be announced)

Activities through out the park:
Free Food and Snacks (while supplies lasts)
Community Art Piece Activity
Community Org. Information Booths
Indigenous Vendors
REDress Project display hanging throughout the park; Each Red Dress tells a story—a story of resilience, strength, and the relentless pursuit of justice. 

Join us on National Day of Awareness on MMIWG2S+ as we honor the past, stand in solidarity in the present, and advocate for a safer and more just future for all.
